Community Involvement

Post 2498 proudly assists with Needham's Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veterans Day activities, including marching in parades, assisting with flag raising, and placing flags on the gravestones of local veterans. We also host a casual luncheon for the community following each day's events.

Recognizing that dozens of paraplegic veterans live at the Veterans Affairs hospitals in the Boston area, Post 2498 is honored to host a deluxe dinner and "Vegas night" for paraplegic veterans and their assistants each year.

Post 2498 opens its doors to the community for a free breakfast on St. Patrick's Day and the Marine Corps Birthday (November 10) each year. These breakfasts are a chance for our veterans to further interact with our neighbors while enjoying some good food and traditional Irish dancing.
